As a Castle Hospital Board Member, Dr. Kim plays an active role in supporting and guiding healthcare initiatives that benefit the wider community. This involvement helps bridge dentistry with overall health and reinforces the importance of collaborative, patient-centered care.

Windward Smiles is proud to offer both Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID) and trusted traditional dental techniques. By combining modern technology with proven methods, Dr. Kim is able to provide thoughtful, conservative treatment options while prioritizing long-term oral health. Education and Outreach
Education is a cornerstone of our mission. Dr. Kim regularly presents within the community on dental health awareness, preventive care, and the connection between oral health and overall wellness. He is also committed to supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals by providing career guidance through Hawaiʻi Mission Academy, helping students explore pathways in dentistry and healthcare.
Beyond education, Dr. Kim is deeply involved in expanding access to care for underserved populations. Through his involvement with Project Vision, he contributes to coordinated dental outreach for houseless individuals, providing care, education, and connections to ongoing resources. He also actively supports outreach efforts serving the Waiʻanae and Waimānalo houseless communities, working to improve access to dental education and oral health services.
Together, these efforts reflect our belief that dentistry should be compassionate, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the entire community.
