At Windward Smiles, our story begins and continues with family. Dr. Russell Kim, a lifelong Windward resident and Kailua native, opened his Kaneohe practice in 1993 with a simple but powerful mission: to care for local families with compassion, integrity and a deep commitment to prevention and wellness.

Inspired by his uncle, a pediatric dentist and founder of Kim Pediatric Dentistry who served the community for decades, Dr. Kim built a practice where patients are treated like extended ‘ohana — not just for today, but for the long term. Over 30 years later, that same spirit of aloha and clinical excellence continues through a new generation, as Dr. Kim’s son, Dr. Riley Kim, joins the team to carry on the family legacy.
